ISAK's ProjectNEPAL: EQ relief through health and Education

Mission

Mission

“To empower rural communities through health and educational opportunity for the sustainable development of post-earthquake Nepal.”
ISAK’s ProjectNEPAL is a non-profit, student-led organization established just two days after the Great Nepal Earthquake.

Pioneered by twelve international students of International School of Asia, Karuizawa (currently UWC ISAK JAPAN)  in response to the Nepal earthquake, our organization is focused on education and health. Through healthcare and education our team aims to not only provide a short term fix to the issues in Nepal after the earthquake, but also look into ways we can support Nepal and its development.

Why Education and Health?
“With a proper education and healthcare, we can hope for the brighter future and leaders to bring sustainable changes."

While assisting the poor and affected individuals from the the earthquake has been one of our hallmark achievements, we believe that healthcare and education pave the way for a brighter future for the youth and future leaders.

Education, as we have seen at our own school,
is powerful and has the long term potential and ability to inspire and empower people to stand on their own feet.

Healthcare also helps to empower communities in the way that it helps people be about mentally and physically to work for change. In providing the health services that communities lack, they have the opportunity to take advantage of their lives without being barred by trauma.

Our Logo

Picture

Taking a more minimalistic approach in its design, the logo shows a growing sprout in front of a rising sun. The sprout symbolizes renewal and growth, with each leaf being red and blue according to the colors of Nepali flag. The sun in the background was also inspired by the Nepali flag, in which it represents longevity, therefore matching with our vision of ensuring sustainable development in Nepal's education and healthcare sectors.
