After 2 years since the initiation of the project, Dr. Car has been officially handed over to Phul Kumari Mahoto Memorial Hospital (PKMMH) on 11th September.
First and foremost, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to our donors, Karuizawa Rotary Club, Toy Factory International, and the Japanese Embassy of Nepal for their faithful support. The donations will be used for the equipments and fuel for running the mobile clinic. Additionally, PKMMH has agreed to submit a monthly report on their activity, which will keep us updated while replenishing the car with specific items. ISAK’s Project Nepal strongly believes that a ‘sustainable method of support’ is crucial in the relief and growth of Nepal in the future. As a result, we will not end our project by sending the car, but will continue to provide medical support to the local community. Below is the English translation of the interview with Dr. Shiv Shankar Shah, the medical director of PKMMH. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1119483228227289&id=457161001021145 “Thanks to the Japanese government for sponsorship on Dr. Car. This moment has come with all due to the initiation and coordination of young students from ISAK and Mr. Bijay Rimal. The ambulance will be a great example of making easier access to health care for citizens. This will be served mainly for any patients who have difficulties going to and from the hospital to have the patient stabilized right away. The car would be more accessible to even more people in rural areas if the government help builds proper and smooth roads for us to get there”
