Project Dr. Car, an endeavour ISAK’s Project NEPAL has been working on since last year, has entered its final stage.
The project has been chosen to be given support by the Japanese government, and the car will be delivered this summer as well as training for those who will carry the project forward. Dr. Car will be donated to Phul Kumari Mahoto Memorial Hospital located in Siraha district in South East Nepal. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Toy Factory International and the Japanese Embassy in Nepal for all the contributions to help make it a reality. This project has been a great collaboration for the past year. In addition, we are immensely grateful to the Karuizawa Rotary Club and individual donors, as this would not have happened without their contributions for medicines and equipment. Further information on its production and delivery will be announced shortly as we get the details. Our project will further expand its activities to create a brighter future for Nepal, focused on the education and health. We appreciate your continuous support.

In July 17, 2017 Lin Kobayashi, the chair of board of UWC ISAK Japan participated in the High Level Political forum on Sustainable Development which was held in the UN headquarters. Being part of the presentation our project was introduced as an example of a student initiated project which focuses on the positive effects and impacts of education for the future. This link has been taken from the United Nations’ website. We are very honoured to have been chosen amongst many of the projects of UWC ISAK Japan.
We appreciate for your warm and continuous support. Kind regards. 18th October
The team first visited Sajilo cafe located in Kyu-Karuizawa for team bonding. We were also able to hear from Mr. Nir, the cafe owner from Nepal, on the situation of Nepal. Next, the team met with the owner, Mr. Aitarm of Sruje. Located one road away from Kyu-Karuizawa Ginza road, Sruje sells ethnic folk craft goods mainly from Nepal. We are very grateful for his advices on the financial side of Project Nepal’s shop. We would recommend you to visit this shop! 19th October The team made a visit to Nagano Children’s Hospital in Matsumoto-city, with a successful background on launching a Dr. Car through crowdfunding in April this year. We were very fortunate to have been able to gain advices on marketing techniques. It was a very meaningful interview for the management of Project Nepal from now on. We would like to express our sincere gratitude for everyone who helped make it such a fruitful week. [Recruiting new members] After ISAK’s Project Nepal’s visit to Nepal in June, our members are now back together! ISAK’s Project Nepal is proud to announce that 10 committed and passionate members from Columbia, Nepal, New Zealand, Japan, Thailand, The United States, Ukraine, and Venezuela have joined our mission in bringing peace and stability to post-earthquake Nepal through Education and Health. We are looking forward to making positive changes to the lives of people in Nepal. Learn more about our project, please visit http://www.isakpronepal.org/ If you wish to make contribution, please visit https://www.gofundme.com/isakprojectnepal UWC ISAK Japan Website: https://uwcisak.jp/ On Monday June 13th, three of our members, Dolma (Nepal), Gunn (Thailand), and Gurmukh (India) travelled to Nepal to begin their 3 week ISAK’s Project Nepal Visit to Nepal. This visit, the Team had an opportunity to meet with, Bijay Rimal, Phul Kumari Mahato Memorial Hospital Administrator, whom we are working with to bring our “Dr. Car” to Siraha District - where sanitation and diarrhea issues need improvement. Mr. Rimal expressed his gratitude towards our help, and he is excited to partner with us to make Dr. Car happen. He also said that he was impressed by ISAK’s Project Nepal!
The Team also met with Dorje Gurung, an education program director from COMMITTED Nepal to discuss our collaboration in funding a fishery project in Melamchi that would sustain a local school, Chettrapaleshwori School. The three members also travelled to Melamchi to look at the fishery site and met with Chettrapaleshwori School’s principal and a few teachers. Despite our commitment in helping out with the school and the fishery project, the soil condition at the site is not feasible for turning into fish ponds, mainly because the water will not stay filled. The Team travelled to Sindhupalchowk, one of the district that was affected by the Earthquake the most. The team made a visit to our healthpost after it had been opened for about three months. The team spoke to the doctor at the healthpost to evaluate on the healthpost situation, feedback from the patients, and any improvements needed. Towards the end of the trip, the team had a meeting with the Japanese Embassy in Nepal to learn more about the Japanese ODA (Official development Assistance), which would make or Dr. Car project happen. We also had an opportunity to give a brief presentation on our project to the Japanese Embassy in Nepal. Three of our members spent a few days hiking and living up in one of our member’s house in Sindhupalchowk District. This gave our members an insight into the lives of the locals and understandings of what they need. Not only that our members got to move our projects in Nepal a little closer to happening, but smiles, happiness, and gratitude from the local people we visited gave us inspiration and motivation to pursue what ISAK’s Project Nepal is founded for - The recovery of post-earthquake Nepal through education and health. On June 11, the founding members of ISAK's ProjectNEPAL graduated... Yippee. The founding members would like to extend our sincerest gratitude and appreciation to all our donors and supporters for the past 3 years.
We wouldn't be where we are at right now if not for all of you. We hope that you will continue supporting us and guide us. Today marks the end of one year and the beginning of next for all Nepalis. To all the Nepalis out there, Happy New Year. May this year bring us much joy and happiness. Let's endeavor to make Nepal a better country than it ever was, and with refreshed vigour.
To all the individuals contributing to making the world a better place, our best wishes. Look out and you will see there is always something you can do, and let's fill this new year with actions that will benefit all. And to all the supporters of Nepal, we express to you our sincerest gratitude and appreciation. We will continue aspiring for and working to bring positive changes in Nepal, and will be leaning on you all for your support and guidance. With much love and gratitude, ISAK's ProjectNEPAL ISAKプロジェクトネパールは3月についに診療所のオープンに漕ぎ付けることができました。これも皆様の支援がなければ成しえなかったことです。
ご協力ありがとうございました。 これからも、引き続き応援宜しくお願いします。 This March, the health post we have been working on for the past 2 years was inaugurated! This was all possible thanks to all the support that we got from our donors! All the villagers are very grateful and sends their love. Thank You for cooperation. Today, we are proud to announce a new and a major project! We are collaborating with ToyFactory International to bring Dr. Car to southern Terai plains of Nepal. Many health posts in Nepal were destroyed and people are not getting the support they need. This is why we decided to work on this project to bring health care to people. Toy Factory and our group are already working on getting grants from foundations and government agencies in Japan. However, since the implementation of Dr. Car costs money, we are looking for further support from our donors and supporters. PLEASE help bring quality medical care to Nepal by donating through the link below. Also, sharing it with your family and friends would be greatly appreciated! |
